A line, Stella Cruz used to sing months before she left Switzerland to head off to the Philippine Islands - her mother's homeland.

2011 zog es die Zürcher Songwriterin Stella Cruz zu ihren Wurzeln auf die Philippinen. Drei Monate tauchte sie ein ins Inselleben, teilte den Alltag mit Einheimischen in den Bergen und an der Küste. Farbenfroh war es, lebendig, bewegend – und manchmal ganz schön schräg. Als Souvenir hat Cruz eine Ladung neuer Songs eingeflogen. Sie handeln von stürzenden Felsen und tragenden Wellen oder vom Versuch, neben einer Kampfhahnfarm zu schlafen. Und sie erzählen vom Glück, das zu finden, was zu finden war.
